Hire Abbey Barn

Abbey Barn is one of the most historic buildings in Dorset. Constructed in 1400, the Barn is thatched from reed from our Abbotsbury Reed Beds and constructed with stone quarried from the Village. The Barn is Grade I listed and thought to be the largest remaining thatched building in England.

Today, Abbey Barn is a multi-functional events space that is used to host our Christmas Market and Flower Festival, along with other one off events throughout the year such as theatre productions and art exhibitions. The Barn is now available for private hire for a range of events including weddings and parties.
